Glad you were able to point yourself in the right direction and stumble upon the House Of Swing Web Site developed by yours truly Mike "Big Cat" Macenko..
I think if you stay here long enough you will see some things that I believe you will only see here...

I have spent many hours maintaining this web site for the last 24 years. It has been on the Internet since 1998. I have done all of the designing myself which is not professional but I enjoy writing and promoting this great game called slo-pitch softball.

I quit playing competitively 26 years ago after the 1997 season. I felt like I had played long enough and had made my mark. So after playing ball for the majority of my career with Dave Neale I felt it was time to step back, as I had played and worked for Steele's since 1983. I use a program called Dreamweaver to develope the site.....

Like I said I have put information about a lot of the teams and players that I played with and played against from Yesteryear. From 1970's until the late 1990's I like to call it Yesteryear because it is a long time ago but it sometimes seems just like it was yesterday....

So after 40 years of playing, selling, promoting I got hooked up with the number one softball company going when Adam Peterson signed me to a Personal Service Contract with Miken and Worth Sports Co. I have had the good fortune to have them use my name on their first Senior Signature Softball Bat... They have been making bats since 1998 so I was very happy when Adam brought me aboard. After I got involved more with the company Denny Helmig (National Softball Director) brought me on board to sell the great line of Worth Slo-pitch softballs. So now I am selling and promotining the finast softball equipment in the business.... The 2022 model of the Big Cat Supermax is the 9th model that they have designed and used my name to endorse the bat. Thank You Miken and Worth Sports Company!......

I have been working since 2013 for Miken and Worth promoting and selling the High End composite Softball Bats. I have been to their factory and watched their company develope their bats from the beginning to the end... It really is something else. After walking through their plant.. I understand why they make the #1 Composite Softball Bats in the country.....

The picture on the right is from 1977... When I first started playing softball I was a little on the wild side and had long hair and loved to listen to Jimi Hendrix and the Band Of Gypseys.... I use to hang with my uncle Marty Hunt, Fred Guger and Johnny Neale..... Those three broke me in when it came down to learning and teaching me how to play this game.... They did a heck of a job.. We won't talk about the first tourney I played with Pesano's Rest. We will save that for the book..

"Develope The Softball Champion In You!

A quick Bio/Profile of the Big Cat won't take long. If you like slo-pitch softball then you might know who I am. If you don't then hopefully from surfing through my web page you might like the website that I have put together over the last 25 years.

I enjoyed playing this great game of slo-pitch softball and I tried to play with the same effort and enthusiasm every time I took the field. Always wanted to give 110 percent and I believed that when you got excited at the ball park there was no telling what might happen on the field...

My name Mike Macenko is a name that is pretty known around the world and across this nation when it comes to softball. A lot of the younger players today never heard of me but that is ok! I feel like I carried the toch for the players after I played. I played softball for over 27 years, 26 of which were on the Super Level of softball. In 26 years of Big-Time softball I accomplished just about everything there was. From winning numerous National Championships to leading the country in home runs. From hitting softballs out of Major League Baseball Stadiums like Detroit, Seattle Kingdome, Mile High Stadium, Oakland Coliseum and Municipal Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio to being named to All American teams 34 times.

I am listed in the Guiness Book Of World Records for my achievements in the game of slopitch softball. It was in 1987 when they put my name in there book for hitting the most home runs in a single season... The wild part about all of the accompishments that I have, I really believe that I could have hit over 1000 home runs in that one season... I was swinging the bat real good but towards the end of the season I did slack off some...

I have worked with your top notch Sporting Goods Companies like Steele's Sports Co.,TPS (Louisville Slugger), Worth, and I joined forces with Nike, Inc. to help them promote their new softball / baseball program in 1998, thru 2003..I have played all over the this country promoting the great game of softball and all over Canada. I was fortunate enough that I started playing softball right at the top.. I am asked the question all the time, how do you get on a Major Softball team. For me it was being involved with the right people and at the right moment... From Lakewood's Madison Park where I was asked to particpate in the biggest arena atmosphere entering the Home Run Derby with all of the top 50 hitters in the City of Cleveland... Former Brook Park Mayor Tom Coyne asked me to play on his team at 16 years old? As a 17 year old kid from Brook Park I stunned the players and fans from Cleveland with my poweful stroke with a softball bat.... That is how it all started in 1975.....
